Summertime fun includes swimming, tubing, kayaking, and snorkeling in the Frio’s crystal clear waters. Or maybe take the young folks to the always popular dance at Garner State Park. Horseback riding, hayrides, golfing, biking, hiking, or an evening trip to the Frio Bat Cave can be exciting venues to participate in while you visit Concan and the Frio Canyon. Concan is considered one of the best birding areas in Texas, where several hundred species of birds can be spotted throughout the year, including the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler and Black-capped Vireo.

Living Waters Reserve and Ranch, located on the Nueces River near Montell, is an idyllic setting for corporate retreats, family vacations & reunions, weddings, exotic hunts, or a wilderness vacation. This breath-taking ranch reveals Texas at its finest. The newly remodeled Main House at Living Waters is 6,000 square feet of elegant ranch living. It sleeps from 16 single guests to a maximum total of 22 family members. The rooms vary in sleeping arrangements from king, queen, double and twin sized beds. The kitchen in the Main House is fully equipped, all linens and towels are provided, and there are washers and dryers available. On-site assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
